9月27日 another randome postSo... I started studying on Thursday... well half studying that is....
But I still have a long way to go.
As Geok kindly confirmed, I'm more or less screwed.
I'm hoping for less since I'm trying to make up for lost time here.
Didnt have any breakfast today and waited till 2.30 for my parents to come home with lunch.
Here's a picture of it:
The colour of the bryani so close to my highlighter.... If I weren't watching a show while eating I would most probably have been blinded by it.
Feelng tired but still soldiering on. I have to.

9月26日 Baby is in ICUFollowing the disappearance of 20 GB of memory and the disastrous refoematting process, Baby is finally recovering from the trauma.
Much has happened since the last post given that it is recess week (thank whoever's up there)...
Mini class gathering, exhibitions, picnic, shopping trips, study trip (to NTU mind you). Wanted a sleepover plus hua1xin1 50 times in Aud and Harry's room but a bit not realistic cos NO STUDYING HAS BEEN DONE!
<insert string of swear words>
Yup. That's all. Stay tuned for more mindless gibberish.
~*YN*~ 9月18日 serine or threonine? Its no secret/ surprise that I have not done much studying today.
Me needs INSPIRATION to study!!!!
Nevermind. Was tinkering with photoshop and the new found wonder of ready-made brushes from deviantart.
Results of my latest adventure can be seen in the photos section.
Watched 2 eps of Cat street the jap drama. I guess they can never get as good as the manga...
they changed myfav character some more. From aspiring (genius) football player with leadership issues to a stuttering hip hop dancer...
It didnt help that the actor playing him is the gay guy from hanakimi and the gay violinist(??, forgot which instrument) from nodame.
Just started revision for amino acid metab....
I think the names of the 20 aa makes rather nice sounding (human) names.
If I could choose, I'd rather have a parent who's a specialist in proteins than a moss specialist.
I'd prefer to be named Leucine instead of Ochrobryum.
Well, that's me.
~*YN*~ 9月14日 attack of the mutant prawnHAPPY BIRTHDAY HARRY!!!! We'll go for Hyatt cake during term break! Now for the real freak show. I mean, look at the sheer size of it. I'm amazed.... the only huge prawns I've seen are in the biodiversity lab and soaked in formaldehyde (those are 2 times bigger than this one). Being the prawn lover I am, I certainly have no reason to complain. Anyways, the week passed by real fast and luckily I still have the guilt and the feeling of impending DOOM (*echoes*) breathing down my neck to complete some of my work. Tml's CA is ~~~ At least I finished revising by 7. But now that I've found another nice manga to read I'm stuck in front of baby T.T Needs to peel eyes AWAY~~~~~~~~~~ ~*YN*~ 9月6日 And I fell asleep with a smile on my faceThese few days have been a windwhirl of happy endings.
Met up with DY and hou ying to watch boys over flowers on thursday.
But before that I had lunch with my mom and saw Sam! Happy!
Havn't seen him in ages but only exchanged a few words....
I guess once the "Sam 小弟弟" phase passed it wouldn't ever come back again. Pity...He was one guy I could talk to.
The movie was a joke. Had a nice time watching the various ridiculous antics of "rich ppl" the screenwriters dreamt up, complete with a sappy ending.
Before you scoff at me for enjoying Hana yori dango at my age, I've to assure you that the jap version is so much better.
I only have one complaint. Yellow is so not oguri shun's colour.
Then yesterday, the part on carbohydrate metab ended with a tut. I'm amazed that I actually understand wat the hell is going on.... guess the slight revision helped a lot and you bet I'm gonna continue doing it.
This was followed by me going to Bedok library. I swear I love that place. It never lets me down. That and it being the place my love affair with books started.
I actually borrowed 8 SEP books yesterday...
Sadly only 2 of which I havnt read.the rest are for my re-reading pleasure.
Yes. I often re-read books. I guess that makes me a nerd.
Its curious that I call myself a nerd though. According to a book my bro recommended, ppl actually prefer to refer to themselves as geeks rather than nerds because in the loser hierarchy, a geek is a rank over a nerd (for American standard. I think 80 % of S'poreans qualify for either.)
Well.... nerd or geek, for now I'm contented.
We all know that geeks and nerds rule the world.
~*YN*~ 9月2日 how names matterBeing the random person I am, it is true that I'm interested in various random stuff.
Here's another random topisc that attracted my attention today.
The most recent hurricane's name is Gustav.
But I distinctly remember the names of hurricanes were supposed to be female.
Apparently it was true from 1953 to 1978. From 1979 onwards the list of approved names alternates between male and female.
Must be because of the feminist movements. (Yeah! Grrrl power!)
There are 6 lists of names used in rotation and each list consist of 21(?) names arranged alphabetically (excluding Q,U,X,Y,Z).
The names are retired if associated with a particularly devastating tropical storm.
On a lighter note, I was re-reading Freakonomics on the train and was once again trying to stop myself from erupting into uncontrollable laughter while reading the chapter on names.
Some really irresponsible parents name their twins Orangejello and Lemonjello.
Wah. The children are destined to be the laughingstock of their school.
Plus the pronunciation doesn't help either... (a-RON-zhello and le-MON-zhello respectively).
Another poor little girl got a more ridiculous name. Its pronounced as shuh-TEED but spelt as Shithead.
Hai. And I thought my lecturer's friend was crazy naming his kid after the scientific name of a moss.
